This year, to further champion care for our tiniest patients, we’re highlighting support for specialized ventilators for extremely premature infants being treated in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). These patients, many born weighing less than 1 pound, often have underdeveloped lungs and would face lifelong developmental challenges if treated with conventional ventilators used on larger infants and adults.
